What this service collects

Nothing about you, personally. The service sets two cookies:

• simulacrum_counter — an HMAC-signed list of timestamps for your recent chat requests, used to enforce a per-browser 20-message rolling 24-hour cap. Contains only timestamps, no identity, no content.
• simulacrum_register — your UI preference for the response register (professional or sailor).
• simulacrum_mode — your UI preference for review or teach mode.

No account, no email, no IP logged server-side, no chat history persisted to a database. The server is stateless beyond what the signed cookies carry.

Third parties that see your requests

• Cloudflare sits at the edge and sees your IP for rate-limiting, Bot Fight Mode, and invisible Turnstile bot-check. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies.
• Anthropic and OpenAI receive the dialog text you send so they can generate a response. Their privacy policies apply.

Retention

The simulacrum_counter cookie expires after 24 hours. Nothing is stored on the server. Anthropic and OpenAI may log requests per their own policies.

Your choices

Clear your cookies and you've erased what we'd have. Don't use the service if you don't want your messages sent to Anthropic / OpenAI for inference.
